Alt-country duo The Pleasures - otherwise known as the Golden Guitar-nominated dynamite combination of Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan - played another cracking show in Camden, in south-west Sydney on Sunday 8 December, and it is now clear they cannot play any other kind! The gig featured this cover of Mary Gauthier’s ‘Christmas in Paradise’. Britt mentioned that she loves Christmas and its accoutrements but she and Bryan decided to record some dark Christmas tunes - and this one has now been released to streaming services. So you can listen to it there, but it’s also worth watching the video to get the measure of this band, which started as the sum of two great parts and has become its own excellent enterprise.
